Why use butyl tape instead of bitumen?

• Longer service life.
• Non-staining.
• Low temperature flexibility.
• Wider service temperature range i.e. butyl tapes can perform at -40 Degrees Celsius whereas most bitumen products are limited to -10 degrees Celsius.
• Tack at low temperatures. At low temperatures heated blowers may have to be used to increase the tack on the bitumen to help application.
• Compatible with Polycarbonate/GRP rooflights.
